The hotel is in need of refurbishment which must be very difficult in the current economical climate, but we felt very comfortable and would stay here again.Excellent location for visiting Chatsworth House, Bakewell and Buxton. The location of the hotel was excellent. Plenty of parking. Lovely view from room window. Friendly and helpful staff. Very good meal in hotel bar area. The ribeye steak and chips were excellent!
Dislikes:
The hotel is starting to look a bit shabby and dated. It could do with a fresh coat of paint and a little bit of modernisation. I'm sure the owners are already aware of this.

We did not realise until after we checked in that the Temple is an adult only hotel. Although we have no objections to children, it is nice to stay at a hotel where you know it will be quiet.
